Charles University in Prague

Charles University in Prague (CU) was founded in 1348, making it one of the oldest universities in the world. Today, CU is a world class institution of higher education, the largest and most renowned Czech university.

Charles University has over 53,000 students – roughly a sixth of all students in the Czech Republic – enrolled in 300+ accredited degree programmes that offer over 700 different study profiles. Over 7,000 international students are currently enrolled at CU.

CU cooperates with prestigious universities from around the world. One of its priorities is to enable students interested in studying abroad to spend a part of their studies in another country. The success of the University’s research policy is reflected in international university rankings based on research achievements.

University of Economics, Prague

The University of Economics, Prague (Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze – VŠE) is the largest university of economics in the Czech Republic, with a tradition spanning more than 60 years.

The University’s six Faculties (Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of Management, located in Jindřichův Hradec) offer a comprehensive portfolio of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes in the fields of economics, business and management. Currently, there are approximately 18 000 enrolled students at the University of Economics, Prague.

Each year we send approximately 800 students for exchange studies abroad and have contact with many presitigous foreign insitutions abroad.

Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague

The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CULS) is one of the leading life sciences universities in Europe, and as such is a member of the Euroleague for Life Sciences.

In a world where natural resources are being depleted at an alarming rate and at a time when our planet’s biodiversity is threatened, CULS puts emphasis on education and research in sustainable development and biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and alternative energy production.

CULS also has a very large Faculty of Economics and Management. CULS educates specialists in all three apects of sustainability – environmental, social and economic. Currently, 21 000 students are enrolled at CULS Prague.

More than ten percent of the CULS student population are foreign students. CULS Prague has 6 Faculties and 1 Institute. 8 bachelor and 20 master study programmes are taught in English.
